About the Shop
The Bus Stop Barbershop is a locally owned shop in SoMa, San Francisco. We opened in 2020 as San Francisco's first outdoor barbershop during the COVID shutdowns and moved indoors to our current Harrison Street location when things reopened. We've been at the L Seven complex ever since.
The shop has been covered by SFGate, the SF Chronicle, 7x7, Secret San Francisco, and FunCheapSF. Our current team includes Tim (owner), JP, and Tatiana. We're not a chain, we're not corporate, and we're not looking to become either.
Who We're Looking For
We rent stations to barbers who want the freedom to run their own books in the atmosphere of an established shop. If you're the kind of barber who takes pride in clean work, treats consultations as part of the craft, and prefers a mellow, non-corporate shop, let's talk.
A Few Things About Working Here
Barbers at Bus Stop run their own book. You set your services, your pricing (within shop norms), and your schedule. We use Squire for booking, payments, and client management. The shop's shared brand presence on Google, Yelp, Instagram, and our website helps new clients find you.
We're flexible on schedules and open to different arrangements depending on what you're looking for. Shop hours can shift as the team grows.
The specifics of chair rental — rates, terms, expectations — are best talked through in person once we know a little about each other.
