INFORMATION FOR California Consumers

Last Updated: July 2026

This page explains how California residents (and residents of certain other states) can exercise the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. For a full description of our privacy practices, please see our Privacy Policy.

What "Sale" and "Sharing" Mean

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • "Sale" means exchanging personal information for money or other valuable consideration.

  • "Sharing" means disclosing personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for money.

Our Practices

The Bus Stop Barbershop does not sell your personal information for money.

We do use some third-party services that may involve the sharing of limited information for analytics and website functionality. Examples include Google Analytics and our review widget. You have the right to opt out of this sharing.

Global Privacy Control

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request. If you have GPC enabled in your browser, we treat that as your opt-out and no further action is required on your part.

Your Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information.

  • Opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Limit the use of your sensitive personal information (we do not currently collect sensitive personal information, so this right does not currently apply).

  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised these rights.

Residents of other states with similar comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) have similar rights.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information in any of the following ways:

  • Enable GPC in your browser. Browsers that support GPC include Firefox, Brave, and DuckDuckGo. Some browser extensions (such as Privacy Badger) also send the GPC signal.

  • Adjust your cookie preferences through the cookie banner on our website or by clicking the cookie settings link at any time.

  • Email us at [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject line.

  • Call us at (510) 457-1489 during business hours.

  • Complete the form below.

Requests for Access, Correction, or Deletion

If you want to exercise other California privacy rights, including access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, see the "For California Residents" section of our Privacy Policy or contact us directly.

Verifying Your Identity

Because we need to be sure the request comes from you (and not someone impersonating you), we may ask you to provide additional information to verify your identity before we act on your request. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request, we may require documentation showing you have authorized the agent to act on your behalf.

Response Time

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need additional time, we will let you know why and how long we need. We will not charge a fee to process your request unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
